In addition to following her for 7 weeks, Megan’s writing style is a little different than other journalist. Instead of arguing topics and making a joke out of it, Megan fights fire with fire and takes the argument a little to heart more than other journalists. Although there are some cons as so, her writing style does provide a great amount of complex diction and is set by concrete evidence and solid structure. Instead of making hypothetical fallacies, she uses evidence and examples to support her argument, and bring a claim that will easily annihilate opposing views. From reading her articles and observing her writing style I am able to find new ways to write an effective blog.
Following Megan Daum has taught me new ways to debate and more importantly write in a more professional manner, however following her blogs for the time I have, has been more disappointing than impressive.
