To begin with, every day approximately 3,287 people die by car accident. Yearly averaging at 1.2-1.3 million fatalities. The Google car that has been on the road since 2009 has only been in 13 accidents and 12 of which were at the fault of the driver rather than the car, one time it was the Google car because a driver took over the wheel, as Google states. If this new technology from Google x were to be used by all drivers then there would be less errors on the road resulting in a smaller amount of drivers injured or possibly killed.
I agree and believe that Google’s plan to promote safer driving is realistic. Using 21st century technology to help control future cars could result in saving many lives, and impact the world positively.
